EXT. HOSPITAL – DAY
(AJAYI, DR.DIEGO, PENCIL SELLER, STOREWOMAN, NARRATOR)
BIKEMAN, SHIGO HITMAN)
It’s a busy working day at the hospital. A gardener, AJAYI
PRICE, 44, trims some flowers, Ajayi raises his head and sees
someone familiar coming.
It’s a man, DR. DIEGO PLAIN, 49, who passes beside Ajayi
without greeting. Ajayi notices the man doesn’t
remember him anymore. Ajayi throws his pinking shears to the
ground. He chases Diego down the lawn. Diego stops at the
front of a stationery store within the hospital. Ajayi
catches up with him.
AJAYI
Hello sir!, I think we have met
before.
Dr.Diego puts on his glasses to get a better view.
DR.DIEGO
(he stutters)
Yes, at the
(he pauses)
Somewhere.
Ajayi dims his eye, trying to focus so that he can remember
where they met.
AJAYI
Sir, can you remember the exact
place?
DR.DIEGO
(feeling uncomfortable)
I can’t, I don’t even think we have
met before.
(he snaps)
Sorry.
Diego looks away. Ajayi backs off slowly.
AJAYI
(looking a bit suspicious)
Okay, no problem.
Diego points to a pencil.
AJAYI (CONT’D)
No problem.
DR.DIEGO
How much for that pencil?
PENCIL SELLER
10 cent
Diego looks back to confirm Ajayi is out of sight.
The Storewoman, the owner of the store, sees Diego through the
window of an apartment within the shop and recognizes him to
be the wanted guy. She speaks from inside. Not loud enough
for Diego to hear.
STOREWOMAN (O.S.)
(to pencil seller)
Don’t give my pencil to that idiot.
PENCIL SELLER
I am sorry sir, the pencils are not
for sale.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
That was how Dr. Diego discovered
that he was recognized as a
criminal, despite altering his
look. Longer beards, dark
Sunglasses. He scrambles for safety
before the Police are called.
Diego takes off immediately, his shoes sounding sharp as he
doubles his walking pace on the floor, made of interlocking
blocks.
Ajayi hears the clattering of Diego’s shoes and realizes
Diego is the wanted guy he saw on TV and has met before, he
shouts from around the corner leading to the stationary shop.
AJAYI (O.C.)
Somebody stop that criminal!
Ajayi takes off in the direction of Diego.
Diego speeds up like a shot cannonball and stops outside the
gate, where he stops a bike.
DR.DIEGO
Hey, man. Wanna take me to Allen
avenue for 1000 bucks?
BIKEMAN
Of course, as always. But Why are
you panting that hard?
DR.DIEGO
Never mind.
He hops on the bike and the bike man takes off.
Diego picks up his phone hurriedly, it almost falls. He dials
the phone number of SHIGO HITMAN.
DR.DIEGO (CONT’D)
Hello Shigo, are you at home?
SHIGO HITMAN (SUBTITLE)
(in Yoruba, laughing)
Hey! Man, what’s your problem? In
trouble again?
CUT TO:
INT. CLUBHOUSE – DAY
(MR.LAWRENCE, JULIUS, MR.LEE, SHIGO HITMAN)
MR. LAWRENCE, 49 , is having a chat with some business
partners at the clubhouse, where he lives ,because he is
currently in a hideout from the cops. His looks have being
transformed a lot, to promote his incognito status.
MR.LAWRENCE’S GUN IN A WHITE BOWL UNDER THE TABLE
MR.LAWRENCE
Hey, Julius, where is Shigo? He
needs to be here, so that he can
get points about how to execute our
new mission without mistakes.
JULIUS
Right away sir.
Lawrence turns to his business partners
MR.LAWRENCE
(to Mr. Lee)
Crazy guy, who loves women and alcohol
like crazy, I am not sure he isn’t
HIV positive, but who cares !, As
long as he remains loyal and
accurate as always.
MR.LEE
Do you trust this guy?, Isn’t That a
new guy? Where Is Diego?
MR.LAWRENCE
Diego got screwed up in his last
assignment. We do not associate
ourselves with him anymore. He got
him settled big time but he has to
be on his own, and that’s why you
should be paying handsomely for
this one.
MR.LEE
Come on! That shouldn’t be an
excuse. Money doesn’t come easy!
y’know.
Julius enters the Lap dance room of the clubhouse and runs
excitedly to Shigo.
JULIUS
Guess what! Boss wants you to take
charge of the next operation.
Shigo, who is speaking to Diego at this time, pauses.
SHIGO HITMAN
Are you kidding me?
Then he remembers he was still on to Diego. Guessing Diego
must have overheard what Julius said to him, because Julius
shouted the news, he cuts the phone call instantly. He knows
that Diego, who was his senior at that time, was in
desperate need of help. But He cares less, every man for
himself.
SHIGO HITMAN (CONT’D)
I’ll be there in a while, let me
Fare up in 3 minutes.
JULIUS
That’s unnecessary! Do you think you
stink?
SHIGO HITMAN
You sick.
Julius laughs sarcastically.
JULIUS
Come along real fast before the boss
changes his mind. Dirty jobs
require dirty guys.
SHIGO HITMAN
You know what? Keep shut if you wanna enjoy my
tenure.
JULIUS
So you thinking in that direction
already?
Shigo enters the bathroom.
JULIUS (CONT’D)
So you thinking in that direction
already? (Julius Asks again, getting
suspicious and jealous and showing
it negatively)
SHIGO HITMAN (O.S.)
Get lost! You Idiot. I was only
taunting you. The boss hadn’t sewed me a
coat of many colors before now.
Shigo shrugs at the idea of him being selected as the new head
away in order not to count his eggs before they hatch, but he
believes strongly, that power has shifted to him as THE SILENCER.
